GoogleSites: Google Sites Audio

To complete this Tip, you need to do the iPadio Tip first - that will give you your own audio channel to display in your GoogleSites. You also need a GoogleSite (you'll probably be creating a GoogleSite during Week 2 of class for your Internet assignment). Here's a sample page where I have the iPadio audio player in a GoogleSite page, so you can get a basic idea of how this will work.

STEP ONE: Go to your Google Site. You should be logged on to Gmail or some other Google service. Go to Google Sites, and select the site where you will add a page with the audio player.

STEP TWO: Add a new page to your Site. Click on the site, and then add a new page. Give your page the name "Audio Page" (here are the instructions for adding a new page).

STEP THREE: Get your iPadio broadcast. In a DIFFERENT browser window,  go to your iPadio broadcast page (you have to be logged in for that to work) - the one that looks like this:

STEP FOUR: Choose one of your recordings and click on the TITLE of that specific recording to go to the page for that recording.

STEP FIVE: Copy the long long long code in the little Embed box. That is what you will need to paste into your GoogleSite page.

STEP SIX: In your GoogleSite page, click on the little HTML button at the far right end of the edit bar:

STEP SEVEN: Now paste in the embed code from iPadio. Then click the Save button! You're done! The results should look like this: sample page.

When you are done, send the address of your Google Site page to me in an email. Make sure you use this subject line for the email: TechTip Google Site Audio.

When you have sent in the email, you can do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

I have completed the Technology Tip assignment and sent the instructor an email as required.
