Week 14 Assignments

The end of the semester is almost here! I hope you can finish the class this week so that you can have a Dead Week during Week 15. When you reach the points you need for your desired grade, you are done: that's 410 for an A, 360 for a B, and 320 for a C. Let me know if you have any questions about how that works! If you have been keeping up with the work so far this semester, you should be able to finish up with the grade you want this week. When you are done, complete this form to let me know you are finished.

If you do not finish this week, there is a full week's worth of assignments available for Dead Week. The course is over on Friday, May 7, at noon, so make sure you have a plan in place in order to complete all the assignments you need by then.

Reading - Story - Project - Feedback - Comments - Extra Credit

Click on the link for your class:

Tuesday due date: READING (first half)

4 points  appx. 1-2 hours
Here are the Notes guidelines plus all the different Reading Notes Strategies to experiment with. For most of you, this will be your final reading assignment for the semester, so I hope you will have a great reading experience. Enjoy!
Wednesday due date: READING (second half) 4 points appx. 1-2 hours

Thursday due date: STORYTELLING

4 points  appx. 1 hour

This week and next week you have the choice of Story OR Story Lab. You can decide what works best for you as you finish up the class.

Here are the final assignments for the week:

8 points  appx. 60-90 min.

Check for the last email you received from me about your project; you will find the link you need for this week's assignment in that email. If you need me to send you the email again, just let me know! To see the project assignments for the whole semester, visit the Project Overview page.

For those of you who are turning in a new story this week, keep in mind that this is your LAST story in the project, so choose wisely!

For those of you turning in revisions, here is the link to use if this will be your final project assignment of the semester: Final Revisions. (But if you will be turning in a Week 15 Project, then just do the regular revisions assignment for Week 14, and turn in Final Revisions for Week 15.)

PROJECT FEEDBACK 6 points 45 min. - 1 hour

Here are the details for Week 14: Project Feedback. If you are trying to finish up this weekend, you can also do the Week 15 Feedback; it's the same randomizer for both weeks as you will see there.

BLOG COMMENTS 4 points 30 min. - 45 min.

The Blog Comments assignment for Week 14 is ready, and you can use this same page to do the Week 15 comments also if you are trying to finish up this weekend.

If you have not been doing extra credit so far, now would be a good time to give it a try, just to see what these extra assignments are like and what you can learn from them. See Week 2 Extra Credit for details.

You can do these extra credit options any time during the week.

Extra Reading. Make up missed reading or explore new topics in your class: Myth-Folklore or Indian Epics.
