Tech Tips: Adobe: Lynda.com Tutorials

True confession: I don't really know anything about image editing. I can crop and resize, and beyond that I rely on tools like gifmaker.me, etc. to do other effects. I know, though, that some of you, maybe even many of you, already have access to Adobe Photoshop and may be using that for image editing, which is great! For this tip, you can use the tutorials at Lynda.ou.edu (Lynda.com) to learn a new Adobe technique and then share what you learned at your blog.

STEP ONE: Lynda.ou.edu. Have you already used Lynda.ou.edu? It is the same service as Lynda.com, but free to OU students. Here's how to log in the first time at Lynda.ou.edu. After you have a Lynda.ou.edu account, it will remember what tutorials you have completed, let you create tutorial playlists, etc.

STEP TWO: Adobe Photoshop at Lynda. When you search for Adobe Photoshop at Lynda, there are a gazillion results, but you can use the filters on the left and also refine your search if you already know what kind of new Adobe you want to learn.

STEP THREE: Learn! After you have found the tutorial you want to do, watch the video and try it out at Adobe Photoshop. Then, write up a blog post where you share the image that you created.

For the post title, use "Tech Tip: Adobe Photoshop" and use "Tech Tip" as the label on the post. Explain what Adobe technique you used, along with sharing the image you created. Are you happy with what you learned to do? Was the Lynda tutorial helpful? Have you used Lynda before? Would you use it again?

After you've posted, you can do the Declaration!
