Technology Tips: Desire2Learn Homepage Content Boxes
Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.
Every instructor configures the Desire2Learn homepage based on their own preferences. Some instructors stick closely to the default page, while other instructors (like me) add a lot of different kinds of content to the homepage, based on what might be useful and/or interesting for people in the class.
For this assignment, you will learn how to open and/or close the homepage boxes, depending on what content is useful to you. So, If you are not interested in some of the content of any of the boxes on the Homepage, just click on the little down arrow icon in the right-hand corner of each box to close/open the box. The system will remember that you have closed those boxes, and they will be closed the next time you log on to the system; you can open them again at any time if you click on the up arrow icon.

To complete this assignment, please make sure you have closed at least one box on your Desire2Learn course page (for this course, or for any Desire2Learn course you are in), and then take a screenshot (instructions for taking a screenshot).
When you have chosen your Desire2Learn font (and adjusted the homepage boxes if you want), send the instructor an email. Make sure you use this subject line: TechTip D2L Layout.
When you have sent in the email, you can enter this tip on your GoogleDocs Checklist and then do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:
