Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.
You have already seen the Google Calendar for this class displayed in Desire2Learn. You can "subscribe" to this Google Calendar, and combine it with your own personal Google Calendar. You can also choose to have notifications by email or cellphone to remind you about events and due dates.
Log on. When you log on to Gmail, you will see a link to Google Calendar - or you can go directly to Calendar.Google.com, and log in with your Google account.
Subscribe to calendar. In addition to your own personal Calendar, you can subscribe to other calendars. For example, you can subscribe to the calendar for whichever class you are in: Myth-Folklore Calendar or Indian Epics Calendar. To add the calendar, just click on the +GoogleCalendar button in the lower right-hand corner of the calendar and confirm. This will give you access to the class calendar together with your personal calendar at Google. You can hide or display the class calendar, and change the color of the display, by clicking on the options button under "Other Calendars," as shown here. Click on Notifications if you would like to get email or mobile notifications from this calendar.

Email. When you are done, send me an email to let me know that you were able to successfully add the class calendar to your own Google Calendar. Also, let me know if there is some kind of online calendar or task list management system that you use already. Make sure you use this subject line: TechTip Google Calendar.
When you have sent in the email, you can enter this tip on your GoogleDocs Checklist and then do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:
