Technology Tips: Create a Google Personalized Homepage
Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.
For this week's assignment, you will create a personalized Google homepage - also known as iGoogle. When you have a personalized iGoogle homepage, it means that when you go to Google.com, instead of seeing a basically blank screen, you will see a screen that has various information, services, games and entertainment of your choice.
Step One: Go to iGoogle. Go to iGoogle.com. If you are not already logged in to Google, MAKE SURE you click on the Sign In link in the upper right-hand corner so that Google will remember your preferences. As you can see, you can do all kinds of things here - add content, change the theme - and you can even add additional "tabs" if you find lots of content you want to add. Here's what my iGoogle looks like - I've got a clock and calendar, weather, Wikipedia search, access to my Gmail, my GoogleDocs, etc. Please customize your iGoogle page in any way you want.

Step Two: Screenshot. To get credit for this Tech Tip, take a screenshot showing your iGoogle homepage (see instructions for screenshots if you are not sure how to do that), and send the screenshot as an attachment to me in an email. Make sure you use this subject line for the email: TechTip iGoogle.
When you have sent in the email, you can enter this tip on your GoogleDocs Checklist and then do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:
