Ning: Embed a YouTube video in your Ning Profile Page

Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.

You may have already added a video to a blog post; here are instructions for Adding Video to a Blog post. For this Tech Tip, you will add a video to your Ning profile page. 

STEP ONE: Find video.  You need to find an online video that gives you an "embed" code. If you are looking at YouTube, you will find the Embed Code button directly under the video; click on the Embed button and the code will be displayed in a text box where you can cut and paste it.

STEP TWO: Add video.  To add the video, you will need to find the TEXT BOX on your profile page. Then just click on the EDIT button in the upper right-hand corner of the box to edit the contents of the box. Follow the instructions here for adding the video; it's just like when you add the video to a blog post.

STEP THREE: Email. When you are done, send me an email containing the ADDRESS OF YOUR PROFILE PAGE and make sure you use this subject line for the email: TechTip Ning YouTube.

When you have sent in the email, you can enter this tip on your GoogleDocs Checklist and then do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:
