Composer: Install Mozilla Seamonkey

STEP ONE: Installing Composer

Start by installing the latest version of the Mozilla Seamonkey browser suite on your computer:

(I am assuming that you know how to download and install a computer program on your computer, but if you are having trouble with this process, please get in touch with me and I will provide more detailed instructions.)

STEP TWO: Open the Composer Window

Start Mozilla Seamonkey and check the Window menu. You should see Composer listed there. Select Composer and open the program.

Here is what you should see when you are looking at the main Composer screen (the exact layout that you see may vary slightly, depending on the version of the program you have installed). Once you see this screen, you are good to go for this week - next week, you will use Composer to create and publish your first webpages.

RECOMMENDATION: Adjust Seamonkey Preferences. If you want, you can configure Mozilla Seamonkey so that it opens automatically to Composer when you start the program. To do that, just go to Seamonkey Preferences, choose Appearance, and select the Composer window as the only one to open on start-up.
