Short and Sweet
Many students chafe at the maximum word limits on the writing assignments for this class but, believe me, the best thing you can do for your writing is to keep it short. Be precise, be concise - and keep in mind this two pieces of advice from George Orwell: "Never use a long word where a short one will do" and "If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out."
