Tech Tip: Blogger Featured Post

If you add a "featured post" gadget to your blog sidebar, that means people can quickly access that post from any page at your blog, along with a text snippet and a preview image. This could be a great way to promote your Introduction post, or you could use it to feature your latest story. I used it at my blog to feature my latest story.

Here's how it works:

BLOGGER LAYOUT. Go to Blogger Layout, and click "Add a Gadget" to the sidebar. Then choose "Featured Post" by clicking on the plus button.

SELECT FEATURED POST. Use the dialogue box to select the post you want to use and to give the sidebar box a title. If it looks good in the preview, click save. You can then drag-and-drop the gadget to the position you want in your sidebar. When you are done, click "save arrangement" at the top of the page.

Finishing Up: Write up a blog post about the featured post you chose and why. 

Make sure to include the phrase "Tech Tip: Featured Post" in your blog post title and also use "Tech Tip" as the label on the post; then you can do the Declaration.
