Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.
You have probably used Google Maps to navigate the United States online; you can use Google Earth to navigate other countries. For this Tech Tip, you will download and install the free Google Earth program and look at a city in some other country.
STEP ONE: Go to Earth.google.com. Download and install Google Earth. You can UNCHECK the Google Chrome box; you do not need to download Google Chrome to use Google Earth. For this Tech Tip, you can just install Google Earth; you do not need to install the Google Earth Web Plug-In (although of course you can do that, too, if you want!).
STEP TWO: After you have installed Google Earth, start the program and visit some city in the world that it outside of the United States. Just enter the name of the city and country and "fly to" that city. You can then zoom in and out and using the checkboxes in the lower left-hand panel you can turn on and off the different features that are flagged. Take a screenshot of the city you have looked at. Here is a sample of Siena, Italy:

STEP THREE: Email. Send me an email with your screenshot. Please give this subject line to your email: Tech Tip Google Earth.
When you have sent in the email, you can enter this tip on your GoogleDocs Checklist and then do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:
