Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.
A pie chart can be a great way to express an idea - and even to express the moral of a story! Pie charts can be used for serious purposes and also to express humorous messages, too. For this assignment, you will create your own pie chart image. There are lots of pie chart image generators online, and if you already have a favorite generator site you like, feel free to use that one instead of the one below.
STEP ONE: GENERATE CHART. Use this link to the PieColor.com pie chart generator. Start by entering the number of slices that will be in the pie. You will then be given a chart to fill in, where you can enter the percentage value for each slice, the color of the slice, and the label for the slice. You can then enter the size you want for the final pie along with a title. When you are done, click the Generate Pie Chart button. If you are satisfied with the results, download the image to your computer. Here is an example:

STEP TWO: SEND EMAIL. When you are done, send your pie chart image to me as an email attachment - or, if you are using it in a storytelling assignment for class, send me a link to the page where you have used the image online. Please use this subject line for the email: TechTip Pie Chart.
When you have sent in the email, you can do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:
