Removing the Comments Box

Google Sites can be used by members of a group to share comments on one another's pages. Since you are not using it for that purpose, it's a good idea to eliminate the comments box if it shows up - especially since it will be telling your readers "You are not allowed to leave comments." You will find the Comments box at the bottom of the page:

To see the Comment Box that your visitors see, you can either log out of Google OR use a different browser (where you are not logged in to Google), looking at your pages at your visitors will see them.

Here's how to remove the Comments Box on each page where it appears:

1. Go to the page that has the unwanted Comment Box.

2. Click on the More menu (top right) and then choose Page Settings.

3. UNCHECK the box that says "allow comments" and then press Save. That should take care of the problem!

If you want to check to make sure this worked, look at your webpage in a different browser where you are not logged in to your Google account, or else log out of Google and look at your webpage in your current browser. If you are logged out of Google, that means you are seeing the page as your readers will see it.
