Myth-Folklore Quizzes

Each week, you will have a background reading selection with a quiz and then a series of stories with a quiz. The purpose of the quizzes is to make sure you got the basic facts from the background reading and the basic plot and characters from the stories. If you get a 80% or better on the quiz, that is fantastic; this is NOT the kind of quiz where it really matters whether you get 80% or 90% or 100%. If you get 80%, that means you have a good understanding of the reading and are reading to go on to the next assignment. 

If you get a 70% on the quiz, that is okay, but it probably means that you need to slow down and take notes as you read. There are some suggestions here to help manage the reading for the class.

If you get less than 70% on the quiz, that probably means you missed out on some important material. So, if you do get less than 70%, please go back through the reading again, take some notes, and give the quiz another try. If you take notes as you read, you should not have much trouble in getting a 70% - or better - on the quiz!
