Tech Tip: Quotemakers

For this Tech Tip, you can explore different kinds of quotemakers. Some of them are just for text, while some are for text plus an image of your choice. If you are the kind of person who likes quotes and proverbs, you might really enjoy this — it's such a great way to create your very own graphics to use in blog posts, at Twitter, on webpages, etc. For this tip, browse through the quotemakers below, find one you like, and share a favorite quote in a blog post!

Powerful design tools:

The Canva tool is probably the most popular one right now, and it really is powerful! You can log in and use it with your Google account log-in information. There are literally thousands of templates in there, so just go to the Templates are and type in the word "quote" and you will see all kinds of quote templates you can work from (or you can build a design from scratch if you want also).

Like Canvas, but more limited, Adobe Spark. You may already be using Adobe products with an OU account; if not, you can log in with your Google account here also.

For much more limited options:

The QuotePixel tool is very easy to use; you just paste in your text and source and it generates images for you to choose from. You can click "create more," although you will see some of the same images recycle as it just generates random images each time.

The Quozio.com tool also relies on just a few templates. The templates have different background colors and fonts, but you cannot adjust the font; it is defined by the template. There are around 25 templates to choose from.

There are other quotemakers besides these, and you may already have a favorite tool you like, which is great; in fact, I would be really glad to learn about more of these tools. So, either use a tool you already like or browse around in this list to find a tool you like, and then create a quote graphic using a quote. When you have your graphic, include it in a blog post at your blog with "Tech Tip" as the label and the word "Quote" somewhere in the title. Make sure to include a link to the quotemaker site that you used in your post.

Finishing Up. After you've posted the graphic from the quote tool in your blog, you're ready to do the Declaration. Feel free to repeat this tip as often as you want, using a different quotemaker tool each time.
