Technology Tips: Fake Twitter

Make sure you do the GoogleDocs Tech Tip first, before you do any other tips this semester.

Twitter creates its own kind of communication style, and you can use this Fake Tweet Builder to create a fake Twitter exchange that you could include as part of a story in this class, or use just for fun.

STEP ONE: Go to the Fake Tweet Builder. You will need to invent the characters' names who will appear in the exchange, and then type out their Twitter dialogue. Remember that tweets can only be 140 characters long! Then, you can also choose avatar images for your characters, too.

STEP TWO: When you are done, click the "Create Twitter Thread" button. If you like the results, right-mouse click on the image and save it to your computer. Here's how mine turned out:

STEP THREE. When you are done, send your Twitter feed image file to me as an email attachment - or, if you are using it in a storytelling assignment for class, send me a link to the page where you have used the image online. Please use this subject line for the email: TechTip Fake Twitter.

When you have sent in the email, you can do the Gradebook Declaration for Extra Credit. Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration you will complete:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

I have completed the Technology Tip assignment and sent the instructor an email as required.
